Public Toilet Near MilchHäusl in the English Garden
Location Guide
This public toilet was inside Munich’s English Garden, close to MilchHäusl Beer Garden. From the Königinstraße side, I had to walk into the park and follow the path toward MilchHäusl. A nearby MUCbike station also made the spot easier to recognize. It was not right beside the main road, so first-time visitors should expect to walk a little way into the park.
Waiting Time Cost
When I visited, I waited for about three minutes. There were only a few people ahead of me, but I can imagine it getting busier in summer or when the beer garden area is crowded. The toilet cost 50 cents to enter. Payment was by coins only, and card payment or Apple Pay was not available. Bringing a 50-cent coin is the easiest option because getting in can be annoying without cash.

Cleanliness Condition
During my visit, the toilet was usable but not very clean. There was water and paper on the floor, and the condition varied from stall to stall. It was acceptable in an urgent situation, but disappointing for a paid public toilet. Recent user reviews on this site mention both relatively clean visits and dirty conditions, so the condition may depend heavily on the time of day.

Smell Paper Soap
The smell was unpleasant. It was still usable, but the odor was noticeable as soon as I entered. The stall I used had toilet paper, but not every stall seemed equally stocked. The handwashing area worked, but soap and hand-drying options were not reliable. Based on recent user reviews, it would be better to bring tissues or hand sanitizer.
Doors Lights Problems
The stall I used locked properly, so I had no issue with privacy. However, some stalls were in worse condition, and I avoided them. Before using it, it is worth checking the door lock, lighting, and toilet paper first. Recent reviews mention missing doors or missing lights in some stalls, so the current condition may be different when you visit.
Handwashing Area
There was a handwashing area, and the water worked. The sink area was slightly better than the stalls, but it was still not well maintained. I would not fully rely on soap or hand-drying supplies being available. Having your own tissues or sanitizer makes the visit much easier.

Satisfaction Return Visit
Overall, my satisfaction was low. The location is useful when you urgently need a toilet inside the English Garden, but the cleanliness and maintenance did not feel good enough for a paid toilet. I would use it again only in an emergency. If I had more time, I would first look for another toilet in the park or a nearby café. This review is mainly based on my own visit, while a few possible recent changes were added from user reviews left on this site. The actual on-site condition may vary depending on the time of visit.
