Paid Public Toilet Near Sendlinger Tor Munich Review
Location Finding
I used this toilet when I urgently needed one near Sendlinger Tor. From the station, I walked toward Herzog-Wilhelm-Straße. Hotel MIO by AMANO and Asamkirche are nearby, so they made it easier to find the place. It is not impossible to locate, but if you are visiting for the first time, checking the map at the same time is definitely helpful.
Price Payment
The toilet cost 60 cents when I used it. It was not free. I had to pay at the entrance before going in. Card payment was available, which was convenient because I did not need to look for coins. However, some recent reviews on this site mention that the coin machine or payment system did not always work well, so it would be better to carry both a card and coins.
Waiting Time
I did not have to wait long. I could enter almost right away. The area around Sendlinger Tor is busy, so I expected more people, but there was no long line when I visited. Still, if some stalls are broken or too dirty to use, the actual experience can be worse even without a long wait.
Cleanliness Inside
For a paid toilet, I expected it to be better maintained. But once I went inside, there was toilet paper on the floor, and some stalls were too dirty to use comfortably. I do not expect a public toilet to feel like a hotel bathroom, but for 60 cents, I expected at least basic cleanliness. Recent reviews on this site also mention dirty floors, clogged toilets, and broken stalls, so the actual condition may vary depending on the day.

Smell Condition
The smell was not good. There was a damp and unpleasant toilet smell inside, and I did not want to stay any longer than necessary. I used it because I had to, but I wanted to leave quickly. It may be different right after cleaning, but when I visited, it was not a pleasant place.
Door Lock Problems
The entrance worked, but the stalls did not feel fully reliable. I had to check the condition first before using one. Some recent reviews say that one of the toilets was broken or that the facility was not usable at all. Because of that, I would not rely on this toilet as the only option in an emergency.
Handwashing Area
There was a handwashing area, and I could wash my hands. But it did not feel very clean or well cared for. For a paid toilet, I expected a better finish. Since some reviews mention missing soap or paper towels, carrying tissues or hand sanitizer would make the visit easier.

Stroller Access
This toilet is not convenient with a stroller. The passage to the regular toilets is narrow, and the accessible toilet appears to require a Euro key. If you are with a child, a stroller, or a wheelchair, this place may not be the easiest option.
Overall Satisfaction
The location is the biggest advantage. When you need a toilet near Sendlinger Tor, it is easy to reach. Card payment is also useful. But overall, I was disappointed. The condition did not match what I would expect from a paid public toilet.
Use Again
I would use it again only in an emergency. I would not choose it if I had enough time to look for another option nearby. Since recent reviews still mention dirt and broken toilets, the on-site condition may be different when you visit. For me, this toilet is closer to an emergency backup than a place I would recommend first.
