Public Toilet Review at Laimer Platz U-Bahn Station

Underground Station Location

This public toilet is located directly inside Laimer Platz U-Bahn station. From the area around the intersection of Gotthardstraße and Fürstenrieder Straße, it is easy to find the station entrance. REWE-Center and dm-drogerie markt are nearby, so they are useful landmarks. After going down into the station, I followed the toilet signs to the lower level.

Waiting Time and Cost

When I visited, there was almost no waiting time. I entered right away, and it took less than a minute. The fee was 70 cents, and I paid with coins. One older review mentioned that it was marked as paid but still freely accessible, while a newer review complained that 70 cents was too expensive. Based on that, it is better to expect a paid toilet and bring coins just in case.

Cleanliness and Smell

For a public toilet inside a U-Bahn station, it was cleaner than I expected. The floor was not heavily dirty, and the toilet area was in decent condition. There was a light public-toilet smell, but it was not strong enough to make the visit uncomfortable.

Door Lock and Broken Facilities

The stall door I used locked properly. I did not notice any broken lock, loose door, or unusable fixture. The basic facilities worked normally during my visit.

Handwashing Area

The handwashing area was simple but usable. The water worked well, and I was able to wash my hands without any issue. The sink area was not spotless, but it was acceptable for a quick stop inside a station.

Recent Review Notes

According to user reviews left on this site, the toilet has recently still been described as surprisingly clean for a U-Bahn public toilet. However, one recent review said that 70 cents felt too expensive. Since the actual condition and fee may change over time, it is worth checking the on-site information before using it.

Overall Satisfaction and Reuse

Overall, I was satisfied. The location was convenient, I did not have to wait, and the cleanliness was better than expected. The 70-cent fee may feel a little high, but if I needed a toilet near Laimer Platz again, I would use this one again.
