Public Toilet Review near Berliner Allee 155
Location Guide
I used this public toilet near Berliner Allee 155 in Berlin-Weißensee. The easiest landmark is Strandbad Weißensee. From the entrance area of Strandbad Weißensee, you just head toward Berliner Allee, and the toilet is close to the roadside. It is also convenient if you are walking around Weißer See or coming from the park area.
Waiting Time
When I visited, there was almost no waiting time. I was able to use it right away. However, some recent comments mention a time lock, so it may not always open immediately after someone else has used it.
Cost and Payment
When I visited, it seemed to work like a paid public toilet where you need to pay before the door opens. I would be careful here, because older reviews mention cases where people paid, but the door did not open and the money was not returned. Before paying, I would check whether the toilet looks operational.
Cleanliness
The cleanliness was average when I used it. It was usable, but it could definitely have been cleaner. It did not feel completely terrible, but I would not call it very well maintained either. More recent information says some visitors found it good or surprisingly clean, so the condition seems to change depending on the day.
Smell
The smell was not unbearable, but it was not fresh either. It had the usual public toilet smell. For a quick stop, it was acceptable, but I would not want to stay inside longer than necessary.
Door and Malfunction Issues
The door and possible malfunction were the main concerns for me. Older reviews mention that the toilet was broken several times, and one person said the door did not open after payment. When I visited, I could use it, but I still felt a bit cautious because of those reports.
Handwashing Area
The handwashing area was available and usable. It was enough for washing my hands quickly, but the area could have been kept in better condition. I would not expect anything more than basic use here.
Satisfaction Level
My satisfaction level was moderate. The location is useful, especially near Strandbad Weißensee and Weißer See. If you urgently need a toilet in this area, it can be a real help. Still, the mixed cleanliness and older malfunction reports make it hard to fully recommend without checking it first.
Would I Use It Again?
I would use it again if I were nearby and really needed a toilet. However, I would first check whether it is open and working before paying. If it is clean and operational at that moment, it is fine for a short visit.
