Public Toilet Review at Martin-Luther-Str. 82 in Berlin
From Bayerischer Platz
From Bayerischer Platz station, I walked toward Martin-Luther-Straße and followed the house numbers until I reached number 82. The area is not hidden away, but it is still better to check the exact number when visiting for the first time.
Waiting Time During My Visit
When I visited, I did not have to wait long. There was no line in front of me, so I could use it almost immediately. In an urgent moment, that made the place feel genuinely useful.
Cost and Payment
There is information that the urinals are free to use. During my visit, it did not feel like a typical paid toilet stop. However, one older report mentioned someone inside asking for extra money. That sounded more like an odd on-site situation than an official fee, so I would check the actual signs before paying anything.
Cleanliness and Smell
When I used it, the toilet was cleaner than I expected for a public facility. The place felt fairly modern, and the smell was not too unpleasant. Recent feedback also describes it as clean and modern, so it seems to be decent when it is properly maintained.
Door Lock and Malfunction
The door worked normally during my visit. I did not have any issue with locking or closing it. That said, there has also been a report that the toilet was not ready for use, so it may not always be reliable.
Handwashing Area
The handwashing area was usable and fine for a quick stop. I was able to wash my hands without any major problem. If using only the free urinal area, it is still worth checking on site whether the sink area is directly available.
Satisfaction and Return Visit
Overall, I was fairly satisfied. I did not wait, the place was reasonably clean, and the smell was manageable. The only concern is that it may sometimes be out of service. If I am nearby again and need a toilet quickly, I would consider using it again.
